Movie Villains You Can't Stand
Some movie villains can be hard to hate or might even feel relatable, but then there are some that are memorable in all the wrong ways. These terrible characters are simply unpleasant in every scene they enter, granting them the title of most unlikable villains. Here are just five examples.

1. Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Even with Lord Voldemort in the mix, many Harry Potter fans will argue that Dolores Umbridge is truly the worst, most unlikable villain in the franchise (and maybe in movie history). She hides cruelty behind politeness and strict rules, and her cheerful voice and neat appearance make her behavior even more irritating.
2. Commodus in Gladiator
Commodus is selfish, insecure, and deeply unfair to almost everyone around him, making careless decisions that bring terrible misfortune to others. He wants admiration without earning respect, which makes his actions especially frustrating and easy to hate.
3. Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Being calm and controlled isn't a problem, but when you combine that with being abusive with power, Nurse Ratched is one of the worst. She uses authority to weaken people who are already vulnerable, and her quiet cruelty makes her a very effective and deeply unlikable villain.

4. Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile
Percy Wetmore isn't powerful because of talent, wisdom, or hard work, but purely because of family connections. He enjoys making others uncomfortable and rarely shows any genuine kindness, with his pettiness making him one of the most aggravating characters to watch.
5. Scar in The Lion King
Creating a traumatic memory in many children's childhoods, Scar is as unlikable as animated villains go. He's cruel, jealous, and dishonest, bringing harm to his own family just for power. He remains a classic villain because his selfishness is clear from beginning to end.
