At this point, Batman has been rebooted several times, giving each generation its own version of Gotham’s famous vigilante. From Tim Burton to Christopher Nolan, Zack Snyder, and Matt Reeves, these directors have all helped shape very different screen interpretations of the character. 

2. Spider-Man

Just like Batman, this friendly neighborhood hero has been rebooted several times throughout the decades. The Mummy first became a classic horror property before being rebooted as a lively adventure series in 1999. And if that wasn't enough, it was later rebooted again in 2017 with a darker, modern approach with Tom Cruise in the lead. The franchise has shown that ancient curses remain quite persistent in cinema.

This beloved franchise began as a science fiction film in 1968 and has returned in several updated forms.
