Is it really acting if sparks are flying? For many celebrities, going to work on set comes with meeting a lot of new people, working with other actors, and potentially meeting the new love of your life. After all, it can be hard not to ignore chemistry if it's there! And for these 20 actors, they brought their fictional romances to real life, even if only for a short period of time.
1. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
Perhaps one of the most iconic couples in Hollywood history, everyone knew and wanted to learn more about "Brangelina." The since-divorced pair first met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004 and fell in love while working with each other, which was a very controversial fact given Brad Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston at the time. The two ultimately separated after 12 years together.
2. Tom Holland & Zendaya
You know what they say, every Spider-Man needs his Mary Jane Watson! As it turns out, this couldn't be more true when young actors Tom Holland and Zendaya began dating after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Though the two began as friends, it quickly developed into something romantic which many fans had already been speculating.
3. Liam Hemsworth & Miley Cyrus
A friendship that blossomed into love, marriage, and sadly ended with divorce, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus' story began on the set of The Last Song way back in 2009. The two were together for about 10 years before calling it quits, with the singer speculated to have released several songs since written in her ex's honor.
4. Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes
After meeting for the film The Place Beyond The Pines in 2011, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been happily together ever since. They live a rather private life with their two beautiful children, and the two continue to speak very fondly of each other to the press. Not much is known about them so we can only imagine things are still going smoothly!

Looks like gossip girl couldn't keep her mouth shut about this one as Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, two stars from the hit teen TV series dated for about 3 years while the show was still airing. It simply looked like the couple's chemistry on-screen began seeping its way into real life.

6. Sebastian Stan & Leighton Meester
And that's not all - Gossip Girl led to more than just one celebrity couple after meeting on set. Though it was a rather short relationship of about 2 years, Sebastian Stan and Leighton Meester did date while filming the series. Looks like this show just had a romantic air to it that the actors couldn't ignore.
7. Kirston Dunst & Jesse Plemons
It looks like not all Mary Janes end up with Peter Parker as Kirston Dunst found love on a different movie set with fellow co-star Jesse Plemons. After filming Fargo in 2015, the two started dating and eventually tied the knot several years later in 2022. The two are still married and now have two lovely children together.
8. Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
Despite recent controversies turning the public against them, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been a powerful celebrity couple in Hollywood for the past several years. The two began dating after meeting on the set of Green Lantern, a rather infamous film, and have been together ever since. They have 4 children together and were once seen as "couple goals."

It looks like sometimes romances on screen just translate into real life, as shown with Rose Leslie and Kit Harington who starred in the beloved Game of Thrones series and played a couple in the show. They got married back in 2008 and are still together to this day, welcoming two children a few years after they sealed the deal.

While none of the Gossip Girl relationships panned out in the long run, Leighton Meester did manage to find her soul mate, Adam Brody, on another set, The Oranges. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first met in 2002 on the set of Gigli, but little would they know that they would embark on a complicated relationship journey together. They dated when they first met, got engaged, but broke off before the wedding when they rekindled their relationship in 2022 only for it to end in flames and divorce.

This powerful singing duo met on the hit reality show, The Voice, where they eventually fell in love and got married. It wasn't all pretty though, given that the two were both married when they were first introduced. But after each going through a divorce, they began dating and eventually tied the knot later in 2021.

Though they were married for 16 years after working together on the Fantastic Four film, it was recently announced that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are in the midst of a divorce. It appears to be an amicable split though, according to media reports.
